What Customers Say About Hitachi DB10DL 10.8-Volt Li-Ion Micro Driver Drill:

This would be a great tool for women for projects around the house.due to the weight. Really have not had to recharge it yet.

It lacks the power I thought it had. This item is definitely good at removing screws in tight confined places.

The lithium battery should be long lasting in between charges. My son bought a rigid brand the same size for a little more $$$$ but it is way more powerful.

Light when you engage the trigger is great.I will use this one for working on cars and such. Very light when having to reach.

Guys who do lots of drilling and heavier construction use.get the Rigid brand.

Great little drill. I just received it so have only used it about 3 or 4 times but so far its been great, as the battery continued to be charged after a long period of time. The case is compact and sturdy. The bits that come with it will come in handy with the light home jobs I will be using this drill for.

I install car stereos as a hobby and this has proven to be killer in this department too. I recieved this drill almost a year ago as a birthday gift from my girlfriend and absolutely love it. Boy was I wrong. I packs just enough punch to get most of the odd ball jobs around the house done. I haven't had any problems so far and always get a good amount of use before they die out. It is the perfect sized tool to have readily available for odd jobs around the house.

I built two Ikea dressers, put up curtains, put up four sets of blinds, hung pictures, hung a couple wall sconces as well as other wall decor, built a crib, built 8 side chairs, and still had juice left in the battery. At first I did have my reservations because of my experience with other 10v tools, and didn't think I would use it since I already had a 18v set. Since it is smaller I find it easier to use in those tighter spots. I use to dread building Ikea, and other furniture my girlfriend would buy but now with this gem, I burn through them no problem. I now look foward to her bringing home a box that says "assembly required." Since it is so much smaller and lighter than my 18v driver, I find that I chose it first as the 18v is just a little overkill for the smaller jobs. I'm sorry to read in other reviews that some have run into problems with the batteries.

Yes, I will admit that this drill does have limitations but if you're needing that great "odd job" drill, this is a great pick.

It has twice the power and only 9 volts.the 10.8 li-ion is great for light to medium projects only. Even 2 1/2 drywall screws were a problem. The battery does seem to hold a charge extremely well. But time will tell.

I found the balance and compactness of the product impressive. Although I have bought Hitachi tools in the past I have never bought their cordless products.

This is not enough to drive 3 inch screws. The power for the product and torque was not.

It should have been listed as pounds of torque which I would estimate to be less then 100. I own a Makita 9 volt niCa also for 20 years.

It also would be nice if the product description would say that it only takes 1/4 inch shanks and is not adjustable

I bought 3 Crap-tachi drills that came with 6 batteries. I called the customer service line its even worst, The customer service agent told me I should have bough a Makita instead and I would have not had this problem. After a year and a half 5 of the batteries have gone bad. You think you got this great warranty with it you don't its a joke read the fine print, it only covers the drill it self, so what do you do with a drill with no batteries. So I went down to there repair center and talked to the guy about it, he says the all this Hitachi stuff is junk, and they have nothing but problems with it. DON'T BUY THIS CRAP LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE I NOW HAVE 3 DRILLS 1 BATTERY AND OUT $ [.].
